On Saturday 3 September at the Scottish Club Sport Conference in Stirling our Chair, Martin Turnbull, accepted the award for Sports Council of the Year 2022.
The award recognises the advocacy work we have been doing around access to local facilities, as well as helping to build a strong local partnerships, including recruiting a Young People’s Panel and helping to deliver local project. We held our annual Sports Awards in person in March, bringing our members together again, and we also launched a fund to support Community Development projects promoting inclusion and helping to support social prescribing, while continuing to offer training and support to our members with any issues that they have.
