East Fife Sports Council is delighted to support Tayport Walking Football Club with further funding. This club was established in 2019 to create an activity for both men and women, over the age of 50, who enjoyed playing football in their younger years, but thought they were now a bit too “senior” to play. Today, around 80% of the club’s members are over 60 and it goes from strength to strength, continuing to attract new members. This grant will be used to purchase more goals, to allow everyone attending sessions to participate at the same time so there is no waiting to have a game. The EFSC committee are delighted to be able to help again and wish the club well.
