East Fife Sports Council was delighted to support St Andrews Curling Club with funding,
which has allowed the club to continue with its development program 2019, which
commenced in October. The EFSC funding will be used to provide promotional materials and
to help with the ice costs to encourage new curlers. The club is very keen to welcome new
members and is running free Try Curling sessions at Dundee ice rink with free coaching
provided by two volunteers from the club . During October, three Try Curling sessions were
offered with a total of nine persons attending. New curlers are encouraged to attend more
than one session so that they can be coached to prepare them for club curling. The sessions
will be extended into November to accommodate newcomers who were not able to attend
the October sessions. The EFSC wish the club all the very best with its development.
