East Fife Sports Council is delighted to support Falkland Tennis Club with funding. The club is a
thriving community sports facility, which has now applied to become a registered charity. Competing
in the Tennis Tayside Leagues, there are two ladies’ doubles teams, two men’s doubles teams, two
Henderson Vase (mixed doubles) teams, two singles and doubles men’s teams and one junior team.
Weekly and annual social events, club nights and open days to welcome new members ensure
a strong social value to the club’s place in the community. As of April 2021, the club will be sharing
its facilities with Falkland Primary School on three mornings a week to ensure every child in our
community develops a passion for tennis. There are also plans to launch a local Fit Mums and Dads
aerobic morning bootcamp immediately after school drop off. The funding will help the club with its
community plans and to get back to activities quickly, while providing a safe environment. With
a strong social media presence, a commitment to inclusivity and takes great pride in the quality of its
courts, information can be found on www.falklandtennisclub.co.uk along with clubspark instant
booking for both guests and members. The EFSC committee wish the club the very best in getting
back to full activity once C-19 restriction ease and with launching its exciting plans.
